Communications Arts Magnet School
The Communication Arts Magnet Program at Hilton Elementary will provide first through fifth graders with a comprehensive, well-balanced academic program focusing on extensive reading of various genre of quality literature, elaborate writings, oral communication and an introduction to Spanish as a foreign language.
Students will establish a solid foundation in the English language with an emphasis on reading, writing, and oral and visual communications.
Our Mission
We will strive, along with the help of our parents and community, to educate and inspire all students. We will do everything it takes to ensure students master state standards and become effective communicators.

5th Grade Conferences Our school counselor, Jeanne Miles, is meeting with all fifth grade students and their parents to discuss planning for middle school, high school, and college. Your child’s strengths and future career interests will also be discussed. Ms. Miles will be meeting with students and their parents from February 2010 through May 2010. Appointments can be scheduled during the school day and in the evenings by calling 591-4772 ext 35531, emailing Jeanne.Miles@nn.k12.va.us or directly scheduling by going to the webpage http://www.mysignup.com/search.htm and entering Ms. Miles’ email in the search engine.
Hilton Career Days Please come share information about your career with Hilton students on Friday, April 30th.
Governor's Award for Educational Excellence Hilton Elementary received the 2010 Governor's Award for Educational Excellence three years in a row.
New Phone System Hilton has a new phone system and that the only number to the school is the 591-4772. That number will prompt guests to the automatic message. Teachers now have voice mail and most will retrieve their messages after school so if parents need immediate assistance during the day they should contact the office.
